BOOM’s first deployment: a tissue paper manufacturer that stopped chasing its own information.

A tissue paper manufacturer in India was running its day-to-day operation across Excel files and WhatsApp. Instead of handing them a fixed workflow, YNIIDI customized BOOM around how they already worked. About six weeks after go-live, they told us what changed.

Manufacturing First BOOM deployment Customized workflow

The case in one paragraph

BOOM’s first deployment was for an Indian tissue paper manufacturer whose day-to-day information was spread across Excel and WhatsApp. YNIIDI customized BOOM around the way the business already operated, connecting orders, customers, suppliers, inventory, billing and payments in one system. Several weeks after go-live, the client described BOOM as having given them a centralized way of managing operations and better visibility of the business. The client is anonymized on this page, and no metrics are claimed.

The business

A tissue paper manufacturer in India, with customers placing orders, suppliers to buy from and pay, stock to keep track of, and billing and payments to follow up. The day-to-day questions were the ordinary ones every manufacturer asks: which orders are pending, what is in stock, what do we owe, and what are we owed.

The problem

The answers lived in different places — Excel files and WhatsApp threads. Each piece was manageable on its own. Getting one clear picture of the business from all of them was not.

“Before BOOM, a lot of our day-to-day information was spread across different places, making it harder to get a clear picture of the business.”

— Tissue paper manufacturer, India (BOOM client)

What was customized

The usual software pitch is “here is the workflow, adapt to it.” We did the reverse. During scoping we mapped how the business actually operated, then adapted BOOM to fit it.

  • Workflows adapted to how the team already operated, rather than a fixed process imposed on them
  • Orders, customers, suppliers, inventory, billing and payments connected in one system
  • Information that had been spread across Excel and WhatsApp brought into shared records

“The team took the time to understand how we operate and adapted BOOM around our requirements.”

— Tissue paper manufacturer, India (BOOM client)

“We have used different kinds of software before, but what made BOOM different was that it was built around our actual requirements.”

— Tissue paper manufacturer, India (BOOM client)

The result, in their words

About six weeks after go-live, the client shared this feedback. We have not added numbers to it, because they didn’t give us any, and we won’t invent them.

“BOOM has given us a centralized way of managing our operations. Having orders, customers, suppliers, inventory, billing and payments connected in one system has made things much easier to keep track of.”

— Tissue paper manufacturer, India (BOOM client)

“BOOM has made a noticeable difference in how we manage our day-to-day operations.”

— Tissue paper manufacturer, India (BOOM client)

“Having our operational information centralized has given us better visibility and made daily processes easier to manage.”

— Tissue paper manufacturer, India (BOOM client)

“After several weeks, BOOM has become a useful part of our daily operations rather than just another software system.”

What we learned

A first deployment teaches you more than any product plan. Three things from this one shaped how we build and roll out BOOM.

01

Fit beats feature count

The client had used other software before. What they valued was not more modules but a system that matched how they already worked. That is why every BOOM rollout starts with scope mapping, not a feature tour.

02

Connection is the point

Orders, customers, suppliers, stock, billing and payments are each simple on their own. The value comes from them reading from the same records, so nobody has to reconcile one file against another.

03

Adoption is the real test

Software that sits unused is just another login. The measure that mattered to the client was that BOOM became part of daily operations — which is why team enablement is its own phase of every rollout.

If your orders, stock and dues are spread across spreadsheets and chat, tell us how you run today. We’ll show you what BOOM would look like shaped around it.
